He was working since a long time in the field of agricultural development and research. Prof. Panjab Singh has also been continuously motivating farmers for fertile farming. Last year, the award was given to Dr. Ratan Lal, Soil Scientist at Ohio State University, USA.
After receiving the IFFCO award, Punjab Singh said that for the first time someone has received such award in Uttar Pradesh. Credit has been given to farmers and well-wishers. He mentioned that work needs to be done to increase the usefulness of manure. This will have a positive effect on farming or farming anywhere.
Large amounts of manure are being damaged, so everyone has to come forward to save it. If the productivity of crops has to be increased, the use of organic manure along with chemical will have to be increased, this will also maintain the fertile capacity of the land. Prof. Panjab Singh said that along with agricultural development, better efforts will be made towards food security. The government is also doing a good job for this.
