Banaras Hindu University: Startups will be promoted through the bioincubator BioNEST at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). With this, the incubator will also be able to get all the information related to the start-up easily. For this, the website of BioNest is being developed and information including research done in BHU’s science faculty will be available on it.
BioNEST is being established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India to encourage technology and entrepreneurship. After approval of Rs 6 crore for this, three crore rupees were already released last month. Work in this direction has also been accelerated. Under the supervision of Director of Faculty of Science, BHU Prof. AK Tripathi, a separate website is being created to enable the incubator to get the right information and guidance as per his/her choice. In which not only biology but also information related to agriculture, Ayurveda and other fields will also be available for cooperation in startups related to it. This will allow all information to the remote incubator easily.
What is BioNEST?
BioNEST stands for Bioincubator for Nurturing Entrepreneurship for Scaling Technologies. It will work to create a framework and facilities to support and encourage start-up entrepreneurs so that they can work further on their ideas with business prospects. BioNEST will provide support and guidance to new entrepreneurs and teachers who want to benefit the society with their work based on science and technology. Under this, awareness programs for start-ups will also be organized.
A committee has been formed for BioNEST. A separate website is also being made, which will contain every information for the incubator. What technology is in the university to promote startups, its database is also being prepared.
