The Department of Physical Education, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is organizing a two-day international webinar on the subject of “Physical Education, Sports and Exercise Sciences” in the context of COVID-19 in Faculty of Arts in coordination with the British Organization for Sports and Exercise Sciences. This webinar will be conducted through Google Meet which will also be broadcast live through Facebook and YouTube.
The webinar will be inaugurated on July 10 by the Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, Professor Rakesh Bhatnagar, as the chief guest. The department head Professor Abhimanyu Singh will welcome the participants and people associated with the webinar.
A total of 1600 participants from various states and abroad are participating in this webinar. Participants from abroad are mainly from England, Norway, Scotland, Philippines, Doha Quarter, Nigeria, Mexico, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Fiji, United Arab Emirates etc.

In this international webinar, five sports scientists from England will give lectures on various sports sciences including Dr Adam Hockey from Solent University Southampton England, Dr Andy Lane from Wolverhampton University England, Retired Professor, Dr Andy Smith from England and Dr Mark Fahy from Derby University.
Indian sports scientist will have lectures by Dr Anuradha Solanki from Sports Authority of India, Professor Arvind Malik from Kurukshetra University, Dr Rahul Tiwari from Gujarat, Professor Gyan Prakash Singh from Kashi Hindu University on a research topic in Khelo.
In the webinar, Professor BS Kapri of the Department of Physical Education, Dr Vikram Singh, Dr T. Onima Reddy, Dr Akhil Mehrotra, Dr Vinayak Kumar Dubey, Dr Krishnakant, Dr Deepak Dogra, Dr Abhishek Verma, Dr Shailesh Kumar, and Dr Lynette Khakha also completed the entire program. They will be connected online during the program.
