Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU: In the interview for the post of Director of the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU, no qualified candidate could be found. In the meeting of the BHU Executive Council held at the Chancellor’s residence on Sunday, the post was changed to NFS (Non-Found Suitable).

10 candidates interviewed

There were 10 candidates interviewed for IMS Director post. It had 8 BHUs and two outside candidates. No candidates were found eligible in the interview. At the same time, envelopes of senior professors of the Institute of Medical Sciences were also not opened. While the envelopes of the interviews held in clinical and nonclinical positions have been opened.

Promotion received from fake records from a doctor at the trauma centre was also discussed. It has been decided to constitute a committee of inquiry. The Trauma Center physician was not mentioned in the Executive Council agenda. But some members of the executive raised it. Sources said that it has been decided to constitute an inquiry committee on behalf of the Chancellor of BHU.

According to sources, this doctor of the trauma centre has received a promotion through wrong records. Now the High-Level Investigation Committee will investigate the matter. In this meeting of the Executive Council, there was a discussion on increasing the medical facilities of the Trauma Center.

Discussions were also held on medical treatment of COVID-19 and proper conduct of annual and entrance examinations in BHU. In this meeting of the Executive Council, developmental issues of the university were also discussed. There was also discussion about the construction of new buildings and hand over. Executive members of the meeting were Professor Adya Prasad Pandey, Professor Anand Mohan, Professor Bacha Singh, Professor AK Singh. In addition, many executive members were connected online.
