Fashion designing has an enormous scope. A large number of students are opting for fashion designing courses right after school or college. Fashion Designing deals with applying concepts of aesthetics, design and textile technology to clothing and its accessories. This discipline deals with the design, sketching, and making of clothes and accessories.

Event Management as a career field requires aspirants to plan, conceptualize and organize an event which can be an award show, exhibition, fashion show, etc. As part of organizing an event, one needs to identify the target audience, decide the theme for the event, plan logistics and send invites for the event being organized. It is an extremely creative field and candidates need to possess good communication skills as well as willing to work odd and long hours in order to be successful in this field.

 

 

Eligibility

A candidate willing to seek admission in B.Voc in FDEM has passed 10+2 or equivalent, in any stream or NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.

 

Duration of Course

3 years (6 semesters)

B.Voc in FDEM is a vocational training program. It stands for Bachelor of Vocation in Fashion Designing and Event Management. This course is of 3 years long in duration. Each academic year consists of two semesters and three years have a total of six semesters. At the end of every semester students have to appear in the semesters’ exams, in order to proceed in the next semester passing with the minimum required percentage.

This training program provides multiple exit options such as –

  • Diploma after completion of 1 year.
  • Advanced Diploma after completion of 2 years.
  • Bachelor’s Degree after completion of 3 years.

The BHU campus is running the course by using various different methods in order to train the students with every basic detail of the course by organizing various seminars, workshops, internship programs,  and organizing various fashion events.

 

Procedure of Admission

  • BHU conducts its Under Graduate Entrance Test (BHU-UET) for taking admission in various UG courses. The entrance form will be available on the official website ( www.bhuonline.in ) in the month of Jan-Feb, every year.
  • Its link is also available on the BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in).
  • The candidate has to fill the application form online (Sending form via mail or other modes will not be entertained.)
  • An email will be sent on the registered email I’d regarding counseling and other details to the candidates who have applied for the course.
  • The course code of this specific course is 188. The candidate will be asked this number while filling the application form.
  • Accordingly, Candidate can proceed further for Admission.

 

Total number of Seats

There is a total number of 62 seats available for admission in DDU Kaushal Kendra, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, BHU. According to University rules reservation and other facilities will be as such.

 

Fees Structure

University Fee: Rs.1981/- per semester;
Special Course Fee: Rs.26,000/- per semester +
Assessment Fees: Rs.5000/- (One Time).

 

Further Studies

After the completion of B.Voc in FDEM course, graduates may go for their master’s degree in the respective field for higher education like MBA, etc.
