BHU News: MoU Signed between BHU and CSIR

Banaras Hindu University: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between BHU and CSIR-National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS) on Friday. Now students and teachers in research field will get new information related to technology, research etc.

 

(Banaras Hindu University) BHU and CSIR-National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS), New Delhi, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 14th August, 2020 for mutual cooperation in studies and research in various fields.

In the program organized through video link at BHU’s Computer Center in view of the guidelines to avoid COVID-19, there was a discussion on increasing mutual cooperation in science and technology studies and research projects between the two institutions.

The online program was signed by Dr Neeraj Tripathi, Registrar from BHU and Dr Ranjana Aggarwal, Director from CSIR. There was also discussion on increasing cooperation in science and technology, research projects. The new initiative will work in the field of collaborative research, along with preparations related to science technology.

The main areas of cooperation under the MoU are: Science and Technology Studies, Technology Preparation and Developmental Studies, Joint Research Projects, Collaborative Research, Research Guidance, Teacher and Student Exchange Program and Common Policy Studies.

The Registrar stated that this initiative will also provide new opportunities for research students. Director of Institute of Science Prof. AK Tripathi said that this new step will give the students of BHU an opportunity to learn about the technology developed by CSIR. Director of the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, Prof. AS Raghuvanshi, Director of Institute of Management Studies Prof. SK Dubey discussed the cooperation between the two institutions.

CSIR-NISTADS Director Dr Ranjana Aggarwal said that the institute has worked on many government and international projects. The central library of Banaras Hindu University is unique among you. Convenor of Computer Center Prof. Vivek Singh said that the two institutes can work together to establish a joint centre of science studies. Chief Scientist of NISTADS Prof. Sujit Bhattacharya, Principal Scientist Dr.Yogesh Suman were also present in the program.
