About the Course

Master of Vocation in Retail & Logistics Management is a 2-year Master’s degree program that is running the South campus of BHU. Retail management basically deals with the techniques, processes, and methods that help to drive greater sales and customer satisfaction by gaining a better understanding of the consumers of goods and services produced by a company. Retail means the sale of goods and services to the consumers while Management means utilization of the resources in a proper way. It is an integral part of supply chain management. “Retail Management” is a process of promoting sales and customer satisfaction by using retail methods and technology”.

With time, the retail sector has evolved. Shopping malls, Marts, E-Commerce websites and other multi-channel distribution systems have made retailing sector bigger, better and surely consumer-friendly.

Now, heading towards Logistics management, It is a supply chain management component that is used to meet customer demands through the planning, control, and implementation of the effective movement and storage of related information, goods and services from origin to destination. Logistics management helps companies to reduce expenses and enhance customer service.

The logistics management process begins with raw material accumulation to the final stage of delivering goods to the destination.

Eligibility

A candidate shall be eligible for admission to M.Voc. (Retail & Logistics Management), if he/she has passed Bachelor‟s degree under 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate marks or level 7 NSQF certificate or B.Voc. (Retail & Logistics Management) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Duration of Course

Two years (4 Semesters)

The M.Voc in Retail and Logistic management programme is a two year Master’s degree course like MBA. Each academic year is divided into two semesters. A candidate seeking admission into the M.Voc programme shall study two semesters in the first academic year and another two semesters in second year.

The University delivers the curriculum through different methods comprising whiteboards and discussions, PowerPoint presentations,  audio, video tools, e-learning, industry visits, seminars, workshop, projects, and group discussions.

Procedure of Admission

• Every year, BHU conducts its Post Graduate Entrance Test (BHU-PET) for taking admission in various PG courses. Entrance form will be available on the official website ( www.bhuonline.in ) in the month of Jan-Feb, every year.
• Its link is also available on the BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in).
• The candidate has to fill the application form online (Sending form via mail or other modes will not be entertained.)
• An email will be sent regarding Counseling and other details to the candidates who have applied for the course.
• Accordingly, Candidate can proceed further for Admission.

Total number of Seats

There are a total number of 62 seats available for admission in DDU Kaushal Kendra, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, BHU.

University Fee: Rs.2381/- per semester +
Special Course Fee: Rs.30000/- per semester +
Assessment Fee: Rs.5000/- (One Time)
