BHU Entrance Exam 2020: The examination was successfully completed on the first day of the entrance examination conducted on all India level for admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses of Banaras Hindu University. The examination was conducted in three shifts under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, regarding the conduct of examinations. On the first day, examinations were conducted for more than 41 postgraduate courses at more than 200 centres in about 150 cities across the country.
Apart from BHU, 17 centres were built in Varanasi, in which online examination was conducted. SOPs for conducting the examination was strictly followed at all places, in which all arrangements were made, including physical distancing, thermal scanning and hand sanitizer of the candidates. SOP was strictly followed at all centres across the country and the examination was conducted smoothly.
Nearly 40,000 students were registered for the first-day entrance examination. Centres were established in Banaras Hindu University, Institute of Science, Institute of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, in which offline examination was conducted in three shifts.
The special thing during the entrance examination was that the drinking water was made available to the candidates in packed bottles. It is noteworthy that the first phase entrance examinations are being conducted till 31 August 2020, which includes all postgraduate courses and some graduate-level courses. The Phase II entrance examinations will be held between 9 to 18 September 2020, with the entrance examinations for the remaining graduate-level courses. The admit cards are being issued to the candidates on BHU’s entrance examination portal www.bhuonline.in.
