BHU News: At Banaras Hindu University, the hostels for the final year students will be re-open after the semester examination, while the library has also been decided to open for self-study. On Thursday, several important decisions have been taken to open hostels, under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor Prof. Rakesh Bhatnagar.
In the meeting, the university administration said that the strike of you people in the cold weather is very painful for the university family. The university is trying to open the campus as soon as possible. It was informed at the meeting that the semester examinations will be started on January 5 next year as per the academic calendar. On the other hand, open-book examinations will be conducted for semester students.
Sanitization of hostels and libraries
University administration said that as per the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government for opening faculties and hostels, university will take some time to implement all of them. Efforts will be made to clean the hostels and library and sanitize them properly in the shortest possible time. At the same time, a schedule will be prepared by the faculties for starting classes in various faculties in the university, which will be uploaded on the official website.
NOC will have to be submitted
It was also said in the meeting that all students will have to comply with the government-issued COVID-19 standards after the university opens. At the same time, students residing in hostels will have to submit a certified No Objection Certificate from their parents, whose format will be available soon on the university’s website. Apart from this, now daily 300 students will be able to read in two shifts in the library and the city delegacy will also be opened.
